Arts Council Board

Membership Information

Montevallo Arts Council was incorporated in March 2006 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation. Composed of individual and organizational members, the Council promotes and coordinates the arts in the Montevallo area, seeking to enrich the quality of life, to promote economic vitality, and to advance arts education for the greater Montevallo community.

The work of the Council is guided by fifteen board members. The board holds its annual meeting in October. The 2010 Board Meeting will be held on Sunday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the meeting room of Parnell Memorial Library. The current bylaws of Montevallo Arts Council are available as a pdf file.

The Montevallo Arts Council Board plans and implements the organization's primary project of the year, the annual Montevallo Arts Fest, including the Montevallo Art Show in Orr Park.

Over 1400 people attended the activities associated with the first Montevallo Arts Fest in 2007. Photos from the 2008 Arts Fest, the 2009 Fest, and the 2010 fest show how the event has become an integral part of the community.

The 2011 Art Show is scheduled for April 9, 2011. Information for artists will be posted in the fall.
