Arts Council Board

Membership Information

Montevallo Arts Council was incorporated in March 2006 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation. It is composed of individual and organizational members.

The Council promotes and coordinates the arts in our area, seeking to enrich the quality of life, to promote economic vitality, and to advance arts education for the greater Montevallo community.

The work of the Council is guided by fifteen board members. The board holds its annual meeting in October. The current bylaws are available as a pdf file.

The Montevallo Arts Council Board plans and implements the organization's primary project of the year, the annual Montevallo Arts Fest in Orr Park. Over 1400 people attended the activities associated with the the first Montevallo Arts Fest in 2007. An even larger group enjoyed the 2008 Arts Fest.

Plans are now underway for the 2009 Montevallo Arts Fest to be held April 17-18 in Orr Park.

Applications and guidelines for visual artists who wish to participate will be available soon on this site or by e-mail to artcoordinator@montevalloartscouncil.org. They will also be available by sending a request to Art Coordinator, Montevallo Arts Council, P. O. Box 162, Montevallo, AL 35115.
