Membership Information

Membership in the Montevallo Arts Council is open to any individual, family, or group interested in the Council’s mission and goals. Membership dues help support the annual Montevallo Arts Fest and other special arts events throughout the year. For a printable membership form, click here.

MISSION

The Montevallo Arts Council is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation established in 2006 to produce, promote, and coordinate the arts to enrich the quality of life, promote economic vitality, and advance arts education in the greater Montevallo community.

GOALS

Believing that the arts are integral to a thriving community, the Montevallo Arts Council will:

• Foster programs that provide diverse, high-quality arts experiences for everyone in the Montevallo area;
• Support local artists and arts organizations by providing opportunities for professional development, technical assistance, and collaborative marketing, including publicizing arts activities in the Montevallo area through a community-wide arts calendar;
• Provide and promote arts education to make the arts a part of every student’s life in and out of the classroom;
• Provide leadership for planning and assessment in the greater Montevallo arts community;
• Work cooperatively with other arts organizations;
• Support collaborative grant writing and other fundraising efforts; and
• Advocate for support of the arts as a civic and economic investment, using sustainable public and private funding sources.
